Welcome back, Community!

*Regen Community Roadtrip* - Mexico
Having connected with many inspiring people, projects and communities over the last year, we felt called to pay visits, to meet projects in Mexico, learn about their processes, tell their story to invite, inspire, and connect deeply with the visionaries co.creating community and driving regeneration. We had the honor of connecting with 7 projects between Tulum and Chiapas, that shared with us their journey, challenges, and successes and once again emphasized the beauty and power of community for both, us as humanity and the ecosystem:

*La Reserva* - Sustainable Real Estate Development (June 11)
La Reserva Tulum is building bridges between sustainable development, luxury living and community life. This project is located in Tulum, offering all perks of a central living location while being tucked in a quiet corner to enjoy the tranquility. While design, architecture, and amenities create a beautiful and upscale living environment, sustainable solutions for water, food, energy, waste management, air conditioning, and use of materials allow for a more conscious lifestyle - and serve as an example for sustainable development in Tulum. Communal spaces like the gym, fire place, yoga and meditation shala, library, music pavilion, organic restaurant and exercise trails bring the community together to experience, share, and co.create.
Development is taking place. Tulum, like many other cities, is expanding. As we can not stop it - we can make it better. This is one of our missions at Regen Tribe - to connect with developers and help create more sustainable and human centered living solutions.

Mothers Day & Development Update at the *Mother Tree Community (May 9)*
We love Mother Tree! It is a highly intentional and regenerative community development on 16 hectares just 20min outside of Tulum. The master plan of this gem reveals strong community building as people are coming together in gorgeous common spaces, a gym, a co.working and education area, a tea house on top of a natural pool, permaculture and agroforestry gardens, ceremony spaces and more. To protect the jungle and not bring in any heavy machinery, everything is being built by hand at Mother Tree - while seemingly progressing at light speed. Here are a few impressions from the last community gathering and development update.
Follow their journey, get inspired to co.create and be part of this thriving community

Tierras Nativas is a regenerative community project currently being developed on 100 hectares in Puerto Morelos, Mx. The community is focused on the curation of a wellness culture and the responsible management of resources. Their passion lies in holistic systems within regenerative science, education through research and discovery, evolutionary culture and arts, use of innovative technology, a synthesis of health and wellness, and polycultural community modalities as the model for community development.

Co.Creating Regen Communities Workshop Series & Regen Co.Work Days (February - April)
The beautiful jungle campus at Paledora opens its gates for the tribe for a day of open co.working and connection on regenerative topics - with our focus being community creation. Co.Creating regenerative communities is a complex and dynamic journey - that brings questions and learnings that most of us share. So we turned this topic into a community workshop series. In 11 weeks we outlined essential topics in the co.creation process, learned from experts and doers, connected with the community and put together a game plan that helps us to ground a community vision to land. We started the day at 8am with open co.working and after a delicious vegan lunch, Andrew Hall from cryptoloveninja.com and others shared blockchain wisdom and market updates. We then connected with experts on weekly changing topics and ongoing projects - to bring tangible knowledge, step by step guidance and network to the community.

Eco Fair at *Ekumal* (April, 17)
EKUMAL summoned the community for the Eco Fair. It was a beautiful and intentional day around ecology and community, filled with an eco market, music, art, workshops, movements, ceremonies, dance, and all that magic the jungle has to offer. It was a special day for us as The New Activist / Regen Tribe too, as our regenerative community journey had started with Ekumal and the Sacred Eco Feria:
In 2020 we connected with the Eco Hotel Villa Villa Duendes in the jungle of Akumal (MX) as they were constructing with recycled plastic and we were focusing on our first vertical: the plastic challenge at this time (www.plastic.thenewactivist.org). We soon partnered to turn the expanding space into an Eco-Incubator - regenerative community and holistic event space. It was our first Community Co.Creation and a beautiful, challenging, and inspiring experience that helped us understand the importance of regenerative communities for both the ecosystem and humanity. We then moved on to take this mission global and empower regenerative commuinity co.creation all across the world - by creating a community of community creators that empowers each other and allows for exponential growth. Regen Tribe (www.regentribe.org) was born.
We had kicked off the community journey at Ekumal with The Sacred Eco Feria 1 ( The Sacred Ecoferia at Ekumal ) - so it was a great pleasure and honor to come back to Ekumal for the Eco Fair - see the finished construction, be inspired by the great production the Ekumal team has put together, and enjoy a beautiful community day in the jungle.. Here are a few impressions we collected for you:

*Cenote CleanUp with EcoCaribe MX* (April 16)
EcoCaribeMx summoned the tribe to honor mother earth and free her and one of her beautiful Cenotes in Playa del Carmen of garbage. Cenotes are water filled cave systems that create a natural underground reservoir of water. There are about 6000 Cenotes in the Yucatan that are widely connected and used for drawing water, wellness and spiritual practices (the Maya believe that these “Xibalba” are doorways to the underworld). Pollution therefore travels through this underground network all across the Yucatan and into the ocean - where it kills the reefs that produce half of the oxygen present in the earth's atmosphere. This underlines the importance of clean cenotes - for both the ecosystem as well as us humans - for daily use (as drinking water etc) as well as our survival on the planet.
Thank you EcoCaribeMx for creating impact and raising awareness. Follow their journey on instagram.com/ecocaribemx/ and on: instagram.com/jossyzamora/ + instagram.com/karla_aire/

*Ixchel community & Nomadix Gear *(April 2)
A great connection that arose from TRIBALIZE is with Koreen and the IXCHEL Community, located close to Tulum (MX). While most physical communities in this area are in an early stage and still in development, Ixchel thrives with about 30 members, living in 26 spaces around a beautiful large cenote - that creates the centerpiece of the community. A communal kitchen and dining space bring together the tribe for shared meals, an art and music space invites the members for creative expression and the Ixchel school educates internal and external children between 5 and 10 years. Permaculture gardens, solar panels, biofilters (for wastewater) and osmosis filters (for fresh water taken from the cenote) as well as recycling systems make the space sustainable. One specialty about Ixchel is that the majority of residential buildings are high quality, nomadic tent structures, that serve the comfortability of traditional construction, while being easily constructed and deconstructed (it takes 1-2 days to build the foundation and the tents) and very affordable - starting at 1000 USD for tents and 10000 USD for fully furnished cabins. The Hexagone and Oxagome structures work as modular systems that allow you to create any kind of structure and therefore give major flexibility for private housing as well as communal spaces. Kareem has been leading a nomadic community of horse riders traveling through south and middle america for 18 years and founded Nomadix Gear out of personal needs and rising demands for high quality - removable housing.
Come along to our IXCHEL community visit: Get to know Ixchel, the first sustainable community on the shores of a beautiful cenote.
