Q1 2022 - Community Co.creation Workshops & Gatherings in Tulum
TLDR
The first quarter of 2022 was all about community workshops, co-creation gatherings, and the Tribalize regenerative community summit in Tulum.
Hey Regen Tribe family!
2022 has kicked off with a burst of energy and fresh collaborations as we continue building our network of regenerative communities and initiatives. From coworking days to festival support, we've been busy laying the groundwork for an exciting year ahead. Here's a look at what we've been up to in Q1!
March 2022
TRIBALIZE - Regenerative Community Summit: Grounding your community vision to land in Mexico (March 25 - 28)
People from across the world attended the regenerative community summit TRIBALIZE at Paledora Campus - to share their wisdom and experience, learn, connect and create powerful synergies across the fields of regenerative community creation, permaculture, personal and collective leadership, regenerative finance and more. We came together for inspiring talks, workshops, breathwork, ceremonies, shared meals, dance, music and celebration. TRIBALIZE fully embodied the regenerative mindset of collaboration and connection on all levels - allowing the global regenerative tribe to combine forces and co.create systems that the new earth is build
upon - while honoring and enjoying the beautiful jungle at Paledora Campus. It was a great honor co.creating this meaningful gathering and our warmest Thank You goes to the TRIBALIZE vision holder Brad Nye, who has spent years creating space for the regenerative tribe to come together, co.create communities and drive the regenerative movement.
Gracias a todos por todo lo que son y hacen, gracias por impulsar el movimiento regenerativo.

Interview - Andoni Cuidadano - CFO at PetGas MX
PetGas Mx is true alchemy in business - having invented a process that allows for any kind of plastic waste to be turned into its original components. Temperature (below 400 Celsius) and vibration alone (without having to add a catalyzer) are turning used plastic into highest quality Gasoline, Kerosine, Diesel and Paraffin. These resources are so valuable (and of such high quality due to plastic regulations) that the process has the potential of changing the used plastic industry forever - adding a highly lucrative component to plastic recycling. As plastic recycling can be somewhat complex, the production of virgin plastic is often cheaper than recycling, which leads to dumpsites and oceans increasingly drowning in plastic waste. Additionally remote communities and islands can profit from a PetGas station by not having to import gas and export waste anymore, but turning one into the other locally. This saves resources and lowers their ecological footprint. PetGas serves as a great example of our shift from a linear to a circular economy, in which we acknowledge used materials as valuable resources - instead of waste and therefore keep funneling them back into the re-production cycle - creating less waste and saving resources.
Andoni touches on turning plastic waste info gas, raising money through NFTs and how we can use this process to steward land as a collective:

February 2022 : **Preparing for Tribalize & Supporting Manifestivals**
February was packed with preparations for Tribalize 2022, a key event for the regenerative community movement. At the same time, we partnered with Manifestivals, a festival focused on the intersection of community, spirituality, and technology.
We were thrilled to support the organization of Manifestivals, hosting talks and workshops to share our mission of creating regenerative neighborhoods. The festival was a fantastic opportunity to engage with like-minded people and inspire more action towards building sustainable, interconnected communities.
**January 2022: Refresh & Collaborate**
After a restful holiday season, we jumped right back into action, setting up shop at our incubator house in Tulum for lots of coworking and brainstorming sessions. This month was all about defining collaborations with various local projects to strengthen our impact in the area.
One of the most exciting partnerships we established was with Paledora, a coworking campus and resort in Chemuyil, Mexico.
Together, we started hosting Regen Co.work Fridays, bringing the community together to dive into topics around sustainability and community creation. Different projects presented their initiatives and led workshops, followed by coworking sessions in Paledora's beautiful campus. It's been a great way to connect with local changemakers and share knowledge.
Q1 has set a strong foundation for what's shaping up to be an incredible year. We're grateful for the support and collaboration from everyone involved and can't wait to see how the rest of 2022 unfolds!
With gratitude,
The Regen Tribe Collective
